The operator of Goderich’s soon-to-be first cannabis dispensary is no stranger to Canada’s Prettiest Town.
“The Cannabis Guys” dispensary is set to open at 46 Victoria Street North on April 24th, and Regional Manager Rony Ahluwalia says he got the idea to open a retail cannabis outlet in Goderich from his father, Anil.
The senior Ahluwalia is the owner of the Goderich Ultramar gas bar, which re-opened in January of 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rony says he was setting up two locations of “The Cannabis Guys” in the Greater Toronto Area, and the family felt Goderich would make an excellent third location.
“We would always come up to visit as a family, and we absolutely fell in love with the town,” says Ahluwalia.
The Goderich location of “The Cannabis Guys” is currently seeking applications for staff, which can be submitted through their website.
Applications have been submitted for two other cannabis retail outlets in Goderich: True North Cannabis Co. (4 Courthouse Square), and Miss Jones (397 Bayfield Road, Suncoast Mall).
As of publication, “The Cannabis Guys” is the only of the three retailers to publish the Goderich location on their website.
