Education Minister Stephen Lecce says the delayed March break is still scheduled to happen.
Lecce says parents should still plan for the delayed March break happening starting on April 12 and additional infection prevention measures will be put in place upon the re-entrance of school following the break.
However, Premier Doug Ford said it’s still too early for a final decision due to rising COVID-19 cases. (Listen below.)
There are currently just over 1,000 Ontario schools with at least one reported COVID-19 case and 44 schools in the province are currently closed.

To keep schools as safe as possible next year, Canada will need a plan to procure vaccines for students under 16 years old.
I’m calling on the federal government to plan ahead so that Canada is positioned to lead the world & defeat this pandemic. pic.twitter.com/lJ4RoTba9i
