A woodworking business in Saugeen Shores has been lost to a late night fire.
A release from Fire Chief Phil Eagleson says it happened late Wednesday night on the Bruce/Saugeen Town Line.
Upon arrival, crews found a rapidly revolving fire in a 2-storey building. 57 firefighters from Port Elgin, Southampton, Paisley and Tiverton were on the scene for eight hours.
The business owners were home at the time in a separate dwelling. no one was injured.
Eagleson says the building was a complete loss with the value of damage estimated at one million dollars. The business had been operating there for over 30 years.
He notes, the cause of fire is currently undetermined, but is not considered suspicious
