The Muskoka campus of Georgian College is offering free pre-apprenticeship programs in order for young students to gain skills needed for entry into the construction trades.
They include:
-a Carpentry, Plumbing and Electrical pre-apprenticeship starting April 19
-a Carpentry, Construction Small Engines and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning pre-apprenticeship starting July 12.
These programs will be offered through a combination of remote and in-person learning to applicants over the age of 16.
A paid 12-week work placement is also included in the programs.
