More Ontarians are being added to the list to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
Starting today, adults 75 and older can pre-register for an appointment to get the shot through Ontario’s online booking portal.
The Simcoe-Muskoka District Health Unit also started pre-registering people in that age group over the weekend.
However, you only need to pre-register once and will be sent an email invitation from the province with a booking code to secure the appointment on the Ontario-wide system (for both first and second doses of the vaccine).
Some Simcoe-Muskoka residents already have an appointment to get their vaccine within the next week.
In addition, some family doctors and pharmacies have started contacting eligible patients over the age of 60 to receive the AstraZeneca vaccine.
