An Allenford man is $100,000 richer after a big win playing a lottery game.
The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation says Timothy Panchyshyn hit the $100,000 jackpot in the Feb. 13 Megadice Lotto draw.
Panchyshyn says he is a regular lotto player, but new to Megadice and only started playing the game about a week before the win.
He was in store checking his tickets when he saw $100,000 appear on the screen. He called his wife to share the news about the lotto win and she thought he was kidding.
“And the store owner shouted, ‘it’s real!'” Panchyshyn says.
The hospitality worker plans to pay some bills, invest and take a trip to Las Vegas with the winnings to celebrate, once it’s safe to travel again.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Circle K on Goderich Street in Port Elgin.
