The Owen Sound Major Lacrosse franchise has swung a deal with the Peterborough Lakers.
The newly located Owen Sound franchise has sent their 2nd round selection in the 2023 draft to Peterborough.
In exchange, Owen Sound will receive two 3rd round picks for the MSL Draft tomorrow.
Through the transaction, Owen Sound gets pick # 14 tomorrow which Peterborough had acquired previously from Cobourg, along Peterborough’s 3rd round selection which is the 18th overall pick.
Owen Sound General Manager Steve McCarthy says the addition of the draft picks will give the club some flexibility to address specific needs or target a local player.
