The Township of Ramara is seeking feedback from residents on potential ward boundary options in its Ward Boundary Review.
The Ward Boundary is Ramara’s first comprehensive and independent review of the five existing ward boundaries since 1994. The goal of the Review is to ensure Ramara’s wards continue to provide a system of effective and equitable representation for all residents.
In the first round of consultation, members of the community were given the opportunity to provide their feedback on the existing wards and their priorities for the design of new wards. StrategyCorp, the arms-length consultant hired by the Township to conduct the review, used the results of the consultation and its own technical analysis to prepare an Interim Report, which was presented to Council on February 22nd.
The second round of public consultation will invite participants to comment on draft options for new ward boundaries. It will include a public survey which will be open from March 8 to March 29, 2021.
It will also include two virtual public meetings:
– Wednesday, March 17th from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
– Wednesday, March 24th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The survey and details on how to register for the public meetings can be found by clicking here.
