There has been plenty of police activity in Barrie today.
A search for a suspected impaired driver this morning had police place Hillcrest Public School in Hold and Secure for a couple of hours.
Police initiated the order this morning, after a vehicle reportedly ended up at the bottom of a hill behind the school, and officers searched the area for an alleged impaired driver.
Meanwhile, a joint forces OPP-led investigation saw law enforcement attend a residence on Dunsmore Lane in the city’s north end.
OPP Media Relations Manager Bill Dickson confirms that there is no threat to the public and more information will be released when possible.
A command post was set up in the area and police say the investigation stretches to several locations across Southwestern Ontario, including: London, Brantford, Ancaster and Brant County.
