Saugeen Shores Police have charged a woman with aggravated assault after an argument between roommates.
Police say, on March 4th, at 9:50 p.m., officers responded to a call for service regarding an assault in progress at a Port Elgin residence.
Police say the assault was occurring between roommates and began due to a disagreement over parking and noise.
Officers say they were made aware that a woman had now armed herself with a knife.
Police went to the residence and located a 26-year-old woman who was suffering from a stab wound to her arm and cuts to her leg.
A second woman was located inside the residence and arrested without incident.
EMS attended and both parties were transported to the Grey Bruce Health Services Hospital in Southampton for treatment.
As a result of this investigation a 46-year-old woman from Saugeen Shores has been charged with one count of Aggravated Assault.
She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
