A teen boy has been bitten by a dog in Collingwood.
The town’s By-law Services Division is seeking the public’s help in finding the owner of the dog involved in the biting incident, which occurred on Second Street between Pine & Maple Street on Sunday afternoon.
It says the victim was bitten in the right arm by a medium sized brown dog being walked by a female with blonde hair, who continued to walk towards the bus terminal at Second & Pine.
By-law enforcement staff is hoping to speak with the owner of the dog so that they can confirm if the dog is currently vaccinated against rabies.
By verifying the vaccination records of this dog, the victim may be able to avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment. If you have any information related to this incident, please contact the By-law Services Division at 705-445-1030 ext. 3254.
