Report cards are expected to be late in the Avon Maitland District School Board, due to what officials are calling a “cybersecurity incident.”
The AMDSB says the company who hosts their attendance and report card service has been offline since Friday, as a result of the breach.
At this time, school board officials say they are not aware of any compromise of personal information.
“We are working together with the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board in obtaining information from the company as it proceeds with its response and investigation. In the event we learn that any personal information has been compromised we will notify the affected individuals and/or families.”
The AMDSB expect the system will be back online near the beginning of next week, and attendance will continue to be handled using paper processes.
