One new case of COVID-19 was reported by Grey Bruce Public Health Sunday.
A resident of Saugeen Shores tested positive.
The Health Unit says with two resolved cases, there are 12 confirmed active cases in the region.
One person is currently hospitalized locally due to the virus. Over the course of the pandemic there have been two deaths attributed to COVID-19 in Grey Bruce.
7,246 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey Bruce to date.
Public Health says this week’s vaccine plans include a second dose for all long-term care home residents as well as police and firefighters.
They also include Community Health Care Workers in the Highest/Very High risk categories, Community Needle Exchange partners and people over 80 years old.
The Health Unit says primary care providers should be reaching out to those over 80 directly.
They say people without a Health Care Provider will be directed to call a 1-800 number to schedule their appointment. Details of this process are expected early in the week.
Grey Bruce moves into the Province’s green category of restrictions starting today.
