Hi, this is Fred Wallace with ” Off the Wire ” proudly sponsored by Pete’s Auto Body.

I’m not sure if it’s Pete’s Auto Body, but a vehicle repair shop somewhere in the Los Angeles area has the remnants of Tiger Woods’ SUV.
Tuesday afternoon, Woods was driving to a television shoot when his vehicle crashed into a median, rolled over and ended up on its side near a steep road known for wrecks.
Emergency workers had to extricate Woods by pulling him through the windshield.
Already recovering from back surgery, the accident Tuesday left Woods with multiple open fractures to his lower right leg.
He had a rod placed in his tibia plus screws and pins inserted in his foot and ankle during emergency surgery.
While Woods’ health is the primary concern, it also creates a setback in some milestone chases.
With 82 all-time PGA Tour victories, Woods is tied with Sam Snead for the most wins in golf history.
Will he win another tournament ?
And you have to think his pursuit of the most Major Championships certainly came to rest at the bottom of that steep hill in the LA suburbs this week.
With 15 career Majors, Woods was 3 back of the all time record.
But at 45 years of age, with almost a half dozen back surgeries, with a sequence of off course actions off the course and with this latest vehicle mishap and resultant injuries, I just don’t see Tiger Woods catching Jack Nicklaus’ record for victories at golf’s major events.
For Pete’s Auto Body, I’m Fred Wallace
