OPP are reminding Collingwood and area residents of a rental scam.
Police say that in the most recent case, a listing was found online where a house was for rent in Collingwood.
The potential renter communicated with the alleged owner but also did their own search online and found that the house was listed for sale on a number of reputable realtor websites.
Police were contacted and then notified the listing agent who confirmed that the house is for sale, but not for rent.
OPP say thankfully in this case, no money was ever sent to the fraudster.
