A 38-year-old woman has been taken to hospital, after a stabbing in Barrie.
Police say they responded to a report of a stabbing at 1:30am on Saturday morning in the area of Milligan’s Pond, where the victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for injuries that were non life threatening.
A K9 track was undertaken and a suspect was taken into custody on Collier St a short time later.
The immediate and rapid response by uniform officers resulted in the establishment of a perimeter that aided in the search that was conducted.
A 24 year old man was arrested and the investigation was continued at BPSHQ.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with an weapon, held for bail hearing and remanded into custody.
