The same shoplifting suspect in Gravenhurst has been arrested twice in a week.
Police say they were called about a shoplifter on Friday afternoon at the Pet Valu in town, where a man was located in the parking lot pushing a grocery cart full of stolen items from the store, as well as Giant Tiger.
Police say the same man was arrested for shoplifting at Shoppers Drug Mart six days prior.
Police have charged 33 year-old Mitchell Jarvis of Gravenhurst with the following:
- Theft Under $5000 CC 334(b)
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 CC 354 (1)(a) x 2
- Fail to Comply with Probation CC 733.1(1) x2
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge in Bracebridge on April 27, 2021 to answer to his charges.
