A cyber attack means Lakehead University’s winter break is being extended by an extra four days.
Classes were to resume Monday, but that has been put off until Friday.
The attack resulted in the shut down of all of the university’s computer systems at both the Orillia and Thunder Bay campuses. Some parts of it have been restored and more services are being brought back on-line.
Lakehead has brought in cyber security experts to investigate what happened and help university staff get things up and running.
