A COVID-19 outbreak at Barrie’s Roberta Place is over.
The virus claimed 70 lives, and infected more than 200 people.
The Simcoe-Muskoka Health unit on Thursday declared the outbreak over.
Soldier’s Memorial Hospital in Orillia, which had been managing the facility at the request of the health unit, handed back control of Roberta Place to its private operators earlier in the week.
Lawyers are seeking to launch a class action lawsuit against the owners in the wake of the outbreak.
