Grey Bruce will be returning to the “Yellow-Protect” zone of the province’s Covid Response Framework on Tuesday.
The Ontario government issued a news release Friday afternoon detailing the tiers 27 regions would be put in as of Feb. 16, when the shutdown and stay-at-home orders in those areas will end.
In the yellow zone of the framework, social gatherings between households are permitted again but limited to 10 people indoors and 25 outdoors.
Many businesses forced closed during the shutdown such as gyms, movie theatres, barber shops and salons can re-open.
Limited indoor dining at restaurants can resume.
Retail stores previously considered non-essential are able to welcome customers in-store again.
All businesses have sector specific health, safety and capacity protocols to follow.
“After returning to the Framework, public health regions will stay in their level for at least two weeks at which time, the government will assess the impact of public health and workplace safety measures to determine if the region should stay where they are or be moved to a different level,” the government release explains. “Public health regions will move up through the levels, if necessary, based on the set indicators and thresholds outlined in the Framework.”
