OHL in April ?
A report yesterday citing unnamed sources related the Ontario Hockey League had sent a memo to member teams pertaining to commencing a shortened season.
The report stated there would be a 24 game season conducted in 4 hub locations to begin in early April and to be guided by provincial mandates for health & safety.
When contacted by Bayshore Broadcasting, officials with the Owen Sound Attack said they have received no such memo or direction.
In fact, in conversation with the OHL on other matters earlier this week, there was no suggestion of a season start or a hub location format.
It was also suggested by the Attack that a large amount of government funding would be required for such a scenario.
