Three Owen Sound residents were arrested Monday in separate incidents, one involving an unwanted person climbing into a house through a window, another for assault and a third for Warrant of Committal.
On Monday, Hamilton Police arrested a 29-year-old Owen Sound man on the strength of an Arrest Warrant in relation to several domestic related charges which included Spousal Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm and Aggravated Assault. The warrant was held by the Owen Sound Police Service as the offences had occurred within the city. Owen Sound police went to Hamilton to retrieve the man so he could be brought before the courts in Owen Sound. He has a court appearance on February 9th.
Just before 8:00 Monday night, police say they were called to a lower westside residence in relation to a woman entering an apartment through a window and refusing to leave. Police arrived and arrested the 33-year-old Owen Sound woman, who had been released through the courts earlier that day.
Police say one of the conditions of the woman’s release was that she not attend the residence that she was arrested in. The woman was charged with breaching her Release Order, for being Unlawfully in a Dwelling and is scheduled to make a court appearance today in Owen Sound.
Also on Monday, just before 7:30 p.m., police attended a lower eastside residence with respect to a man who was wanted on a Warrant of Committal. Police say they attended and took the 27-year-old Owen Sound man into custody without incident. He is scheduled to make a court appearance today (Feb 9th) in Owen Sound.
