The Prime Minister has announced new travel restrictions for land border crossings.
Justin Trudeau says starting next Monday, February 15th, anyone who tries to enter Canada by land (or by air) will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours. (His full announcement is posted at the bottom.)

Trudeau also confirmed that the government will provide one year of relief from interest payments on certain 2020 tax debt, and that self-employed Canadians who applied for the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) based on gross income rather than net will not have to repay the benefit as long as they meet all other eligibility criteria.

The PM is also reassuring Canadians that the country is still on track for COVID-19 vaccines and will have plenty available for anyone who wants one by September.
He said deliveries will start to ramp up, starting next week.
