A statement from Bell this evening about phone line outages in Georgian Bluffs affecting Oxenden and other areas says crews are working on the problem.
Concerned residents say they have been without phone lines since lat last week.
A spokesperson from Bell says “A power outage in the area caused some damage to our network, disrupting phone services for some customers in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. Our crews have been gradually restoring service and we expect the remaining customers should be back in service later this evening. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
They add “We have been working on resolving the outage since we discovered the issue and our techs are currently onsite with the new equipment required now. If all goes as planned, service should be fully restored tonight.”
