A man’s life has been saved in Wasaga Beach, after police found him suffering from a suspected overdose.
Police say on Friday, they were called to a motel in the Mosley and Tenth Streets area, where they found a man lying unconscious on the floor.
Officers suspected he had suffered an opioid overdose and after administering Narcan, the man was revived and taken to hospital.
Police say it is suspected that the involved individual purchased and consumed illicit drugs laced with fentanyl. Fentanyl and its derivatives are often used as a mixing agent within other illicit drugs, putting the public and police at risk.
