A driver has been arrested for possession of meth, after police received a traffic complaint in Orillia.
Police were called last night about a possible impaired driver headed to Albert Street, where officers located the suspect vehicle pulling into a driveway.
After speaking with the driver, police say no signs of impairment were detected, but during the interaction, a small quantity of what is believed to be Methamphetamine was located and seized.
Officers also discovered that the driver’s license was currently under suspension.
The OPP say as a result, Samuel Salisbury, age 40, of Ramara, was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – Methamphetamine
- Driving while under suspension
The accused was released on a Form 9 Appearance Notice and is set to appear on April 13, 2021, at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
