An alleged meat thief has been arrested in Orillia.
Police say on Wednesday afternoon, a store reported that a shoplifter has just fled the business on foot, with a bag of stolen items.
Officers attended quickly and located the suspect on Fittons Road, where over $250 worth of stolen meat was recovered.
As a result, Christopher Slauko, age 45, of Orillia, has been charged with:
· Theft under $5000 – shoplifting
· Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Due to a number of outstanding charges, the accused was held in custody and is set to appear on February 04, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Barrie.
