Owen Sound police have arrested a man for failing to remain at a collision.
Police say at about 11 Wednesday morning (Feb 3), a 2009 Mazda 3 hit a 67-year-old woman causing her to fall to the ground, then the car left the scene.
Police say it happened at 9th Street East and 3rd Avenue East.
They say the woman was taken to hospital by paramedics, where she was treated for minor injuries.
Police say using witness descriptions, they located the 47-year-old suspect a few hours later on the upper east side of Owen Sound where he was taken into custody.
The local man was charged with failing to stop after an accident and several offences under the Highway Traffic Act, including driving without a licence or insurance, and driving an unsafe vehicle.
