A traffic stop in Orillia has led to drug charges.
Police say a vehicle was stopped on Saturday morning for a traffic violation on Barrie road, but the driver didn’t have a license and further investigation led to the seizure of a quantity of cocaine.
The driver, David Shirk, age 34, of Orillia, was subsequently arrested and has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule I substance – cocaine
- Driving while under suspension
- Driver – fail to properly wear seat belt
The accused was released on an Appearance Notice and is set to appear on April 06, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
