Public Health is reporting 11 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Grey Bruce.
On Saturday, three cases were confirmed in Owen Sound, three in Brockton, two in Chatsworth, two in Hanover and one in Grey Highlands during the 24 period ending at 11:59 January 30th.
800 Doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Grey and Bruce.
With one resolved case, the Health Unit says there are 39 confirmed active cases in the region and one active probable case. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
Public Health reports three people are hospitalized.
The first COVID-19 related death in the region was confirmed Saturday. A man in his 60s who had been hospitalized since early January passed away.
Meanwhile, the Health Unit confirmed one case, and one probable case associated Walkerton District Community School.
They say their assessment to date, indicates there is no evidence that transmission took place within the school environment.
The Healt Unit says there are no outbreaks in any schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce and no bus routes of any schools are involved with the cases.
There are also no outbreaks in long term care homes or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
