
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported five new Covid cases and one recovery in the region Friday.
According to Public Health, two people from Brockton, and residents of Grey Highlands, South Bruce and Hanover tested positive.
The testing and case counts data released by Public Health on Friday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Thursday.
The active known case load in the region increased to 32, as new infections outpaced recoveries. Two people from the area are currently hospitalized due to the virus.
There have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says there are no outbreaks at any long-term care or retirement homes, or any schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
As for vaccination progress, the Health Unit says 800 doses have been administered in Grey Bruce to date.
