
The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported six new Covid cases and one recovery in the region Thursday.
According to Public Health, two people from Owen Sound, two from Hanover and residents of Arran-Elderslie and Kincardine tested positive.
The testing and case counts data released by Public Health on Thursday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, under a new reporting system to better align with provincial standards.
The active known case load in the region increased to 30, as new infections outpaced recoveries. Two people from the area are currently hospitalized due to the virus.
There have not been any deaths attributed to Covid in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says there are no outbreaks at any long-term care or retirement homes, or any schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce.
As for vaccination progress, the Health Unit says 750 doses have been administered in Grey Bruce to date.
