Public Health Grey Bruce says it is in possession of 600 doses of the Moderna vaccine.
The Health Unit says it expects the delivery of another 700 doses of the vaccine next week.
The shipments are to be administered to long-term care, high-risk retirement, and First Nations elder care residents locally

Next week’s shipment will be allocated to the remaining long-term care facilities in Grey Bruce. that would complete first dose vaccine coverage for all long-term care residents in Grey Bruce.
Meanwhile, Public Health says its board has reviewed and received the plan for the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.
They say it provides the framework, including timelines, for geographic and sector-specific administering of vaccine to achieve a coverage level of at least 75% of eligible recipients in Grey Bruce.
It will have three models for service delivery:
1) Mobile clinics with vaccine distribution to Long-Term Care Homes, Retirement Homes, First Nations, and others.
2) Distribution of the vaccine to practice setting clinics with primary care, hospitals, and pharmacies.
3) Mass Immunization Hubs; with three local recreation facilities being considered.
