The Port Elgin Farmer’s Market will be open this summer.
The BIA announced its return will be Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Coulter Parkette in downtown Port Elgin.
The BIA says It will run each subsequent Wednesday through September 1, on the condition there are no Public Health orders in place that would prohibit the operation of the market.
Chair Addison Zeigler says in a statement, “The market has become a staple in our downtown, we’re excited to see it return this summer.”
The market offers a mix of farm fresh and artisan goods, complementing the retail and restaurants provided
by BIA member businesses in Port Elgin’s downtown core.
The market will follow all Public Health guidelines regarding COVID-19 safety; measures will be communicated
to vendors and the public this spring.
Zeigler says, “The health and safety of both our vendors and patrons is of the highest priority and we committed to
working with Public Health and the municipality to ensure we are offering the safest experience possible. ”
