A 43-year-old Ajax man faces several charges after police say he fled from them in Penetanguishene.
Monday just before 1 am a police officer saw the man in the area of Church and Burke Streets.
The responding officer knew the man was under an order to live in Ajax and reports the man fled when he saw him.
He was caught a short time later after becoming stuck between some buildings and a fence but not before the officer says he saw him throw something from his waistband.
Police seized methamphetamine and cocaine after he was searched and report they also found a loaded revolver handgun near where the man was said to have thrown the item.
The accused faces a slew of charges including drug possession, trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm and other probation and gun and ammo related charges.
He’s been held for a bail hearing by video link.
