Midland’s hospital has received a generous gift to improve patients’ experiences.
Georgian Bay General Hospital has been given five million dollars from the Marco Mancini Family Foundation to address some of the highest priority projects for the hospital this year.
The hospital’s news release says seasonal resident in Tiny for more than 20 years, Marco Mancini, has supported GBGH as the principal benefactor for local golf tournaments, contributing close to one million dollars for critical equipment and enhancements to surgical services at the hospital.
The investment will be made over the next few years, starting with the renovation of inpatient rooms, building a new cafe in the hospital’s main lobby, and helping with the electronic medical record project.
It is with profound gratitude and great pride that we announce a transformational gift of $5 million dollars from Marco Mancini and the Marco Mancini Family Foundation to transform the care experience at @GBGHMidland! ❤
