Several local organizations will be taking part in an online mental health wellness event, meant to benefit public school students in Huron and Perth counties.
The Avon Maitland District School Board is partnering with Rural Response for Healthy Children and the Tanner Steffler Foundation to host YOU MATTER2, a virtual event led by students for students, focused on student mental health.
Students in kindergarten to grade 3 will participate in an activity to build social emotional learning skills, grades 4-6 will learn about stress and resilience through a short video series, and grades 7-12 will participate in a video series about managing stress and anxiety.
Goderich’s FauxPop Media will produce Tuesday’s event, which runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m..
