OPP divers have found the bodies of two missing snowmobilers in Tay Township.
Just after 11 o’clock this morning, the divers found the two people in the waters of Sturgeon Bay.
Their names aren’t being released until next of kin are notified.
OPP first got the call about an incident in the water just after 6 o’clock last evening.
A Victoria Harbour resident reported hearing a call for help from the water.
Emergency crews started a search and found clothing at the scene. Police later received a missing persons report of two overdue snowmobilers from the Orillia area.
It was too dark to continue. The search resumed at 9:30 this morning.
The OPP says the investigation continues into the cause of the incident.
