Eight new cases of COVID-19 were reported Thursday (Jan 14) in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says two are in Kincardine and there is one each in South Bruce, Southgate, West Grey, Huron Kinloss, Hanover and Saugeen Shores.
The Health Unit says with ten recoveries, there are currently 61 active cases and one active probable case. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
According to Public Health there are 152 High Risk Contacts associated with the region’s active cases.
The Health Unit says over the course of the pandemic, there have been 532 recovered cases and 38 cases referred to other health units.
Public Health says there are three confirmed cases from Grey Bruce who are currently hospitalized. No one has died locally from the virus.
There are no outbreaks in long-term care homes, childcare centres or local schools.
