Five cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in schools in the Avon Maitland District School Board this week.
Two cases were announced at South Huron District High School, along with a case each at Clinton Public School, St Marys DCVI and Stratford District Secondary School.
The cases have been deemed “non-school exposure” by public health, because the individuals were not in the school during the time when they were potentially infectious to others.
Since the start of 2021, eleven COVID-19 cases have been announced at Huron-Perth public schools.
Three of those cases were at SHDSH, along with one at F.E. Madill in Wingham, and one at Clinton Public School.
