A 28-year-old Orillia man faces charges after a collision following an altercation with a witness.
Tuesday just after 6 am police heard that a driver had collided with vehicles in a Barrie Road parking lot.
They were told a man had aggressively confronted a witness and sped off.
Then a second report came in about the same driver – this time about a collision on Highway 11.
The suspect is said to have assaulted the driver of another vehicle who reported the incident and further damaged his vehicle.
Then a third complaint came in from a Highway 11 address in Oro Medonte reporting an unusual interaction with the same driver.
Police caught up with the suspect on Highway 11 southbound near Line 14. He was arrested and charged after police seized cocaine, fentanyl and Canadian currency.
The suspect is charged with trafficking opioids and cocaine, two counts of assault, mischief – destroying or damage to property, impaired driving, dangerous operation of a vehicle and possession of proceeds obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was held for a bail hearing today in Orillia.
