Nine new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Monday (Jan 11th) in Grey Bruce.
Public Health says there are two in Huron Kinloss, and one each in Arran-Elderslie, Kincardine, Meaford, Owen Sound, Grey Highlands, South Bruce and Saugeen Shores.
The Health Unit says with eight recoveries Monday, there are currently 53 active cases in the region and one active probable case. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
According to Public Health, there are 154 High Risk Contacts associated with active cases.
Two people from Grey Bruce are currently hospitalized.
No one has died locally from the pandemic.
There are no outbreaks in long-term care homes, (Sepoy Manor outbreak is declared over) and no outbreaks in childcare centres or schools in Grey Bruce.
