Six new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed Sunday (Jan 10th) in Grey Bruce.
According to the Health Unit, there is one each in Arran-Elderslie, Georgian Bluffs, Kincardine, Meaford, Owen Sound, and West Grey.
With nine more recoveries, there are 54 confirmed active cases in the region and one active probable case. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
The Health Unit says there are 153 high risk contacts associated with the region’s active cases.
Two people from Grey Bruce are currently hospitalized.
No one has died locally.
One long-term care facility, Sepoy Manor in Lucknow is still under outbreak status after a person working there tested positive.
There are no outbreaks in childcare centres or schools in Grey Bruce.
