Bruce County has a new Director of Planning and Development.
The County says in a release, Mark Paoli has been working in the position since December 21st.
As a member of the County’s Senior Leadership Team, Paoli will oversee the continued development of the new Official Plan, as well as significant economic planning strategies and programs, including those responding to COVID-19 challenges.
The County says under Paoli’s leadership, the Planning and Development team will work with municipalities to be ‘development ready,’ inspire and attract economic development, build on the County’s tourism, agriculture, and energy sectors, and build on the successes of the County’s award-winning Explore the Bruce, Spruce the Bruce, and Business to Bruce initiatives.
Paoli has been a member of Bruce County staff since 2018, having most recently served as Land Use Planning Manager where he led several initiatives to improve land use planning services.
He previously led planning activities and policy at Wellington County for over 18 years. Paoli holds a Master of Science degree in Rural Planning and Development and is accredited as a Registered Planning Professional with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute.
