Saugeen Shores Police have arrested and charged one man, and are looking for another after an assault in Port Elgin.
Police say at about 11:30 at night on December 31st, two men entered a Port Elgin residence of a man known to them.
Police say while inside, the two men assaulted the other man causing injuries.
They say the victim initially tried to recover on his own, but police say the the next morning it became clear he needed medical attention. He was taken to Saugeen Memorial Hospital by friends where after an assessment, it was determined that the man suffered significant internal injuries.
On January 1st, officers arrested a 38 year old Port Elgin man. An arrest warrant has been issued for a second man.
Both face charges of assault causing bodily harm and unlawfully being in a dwelling.
