The local health unit is reporting one more death today.
This brings the total number of people in Simcoe/Muskoka who have died during the pandemic, related to Covid-19, to 70.
There are also 70 new coronavirus cases in the region today.
Collingwood has one new case, a boy under 17. Clearview has two cases and Wasaga Beach has one, a man 18 to 34.
Barrie has 17 new cases today with six in Orillia, two in Ramara and one in Severn.
There is a new case in Bracebridge and two in Gravenhurst.
Meanwhile, there have been more than 3,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine administered in Simcoe Muskoka, mainly to health care workers in local hospitals, long-term care and retirement homes.
