A 27-year-old Midland man is facing charges in connection with two New Years Day robberies.
The evening of January 1st, OPP responded to a Yonge Street convenience store in Midland after a robbery where the suspect is said to have threatened a clerk and made off with some money.
Tips and video surveillance footage helped police find the suspect who is now charged with robbery with a weapon and possession of the stolen property under $5,000.
The suspect was also charged with theft under $5,000 in connection to a theft the same evening at a Yonge Street hotel.
He remains in custody awaiting a virtual bail hearing in Midland.
