Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) in Barrie is currently restricting all visitors.
The move comes in connection with the Province-wide lockdown currently in effect.
There are some minor exceptions in place – in the paediatrics/neonatal intensive care unit, one adult at a time is allowed for children patients under the age of 18, and one support person is also allowed with a mother who’s in labour in either the obstetrics or neonatal intensive care units.
Other cases will be looked at on compassionate grounds by the care team.
In the ER, no visitors are allowed unless deemed necessary by the care team or if accompanying a minor.
Any visits prebooked to happen after December 25th will be cancelled.
