The OPP’s Festive RIDE program has conducted 121 stop checkpoints on area roads and trails in North Simcoe since November 26th.
Police have checked over 3,260 drivers and vehicles including snowmobiles.
This resulted in one driver being charged with impaired driving and 57 drivers registering ‘a pass’ on roadside screening devices.
Police remind you to call 911 if you see a possibly-impaired driver to help prevent a crash.
