Two new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Grey Bruce Friday (Dec 25th).
Public Health says one is in The Town of the Blue Mountains and one is in Hanover.
With four recoveries, the Health Unit says there are 30 active cases in the region and 14 active probable cases. Probable cases are not lab confirmed, but are symptomatic and are high-risk contacts of an active case.
Public Health says there are 127 High Risk Contacts associated with the region’s active cases.
Two confirmed case from Grey Bruce are currently hospitalized.
No one has died locally from the virus.
There is one long-term care facility with a declared outbreak, Errinrung in Thornbury. There are no schools or childcare centres in Grey Bruce with declared outbreaks.An outbreak at the Village Seniors Long-Term Care Home in Hanover was declared over Friday after test results were found to be false positives.
